The Stand Up World Tour will come to a close in Hilo Bay on the Big Island of Hawaii, December 10th through 19th. The Hawaii Island Finals will give a dramatic ending to a spectacular year for the tour.

The month of December brings two showings of Destination 3 Degrees — the film that documents the journey of Jenny Kalmbach and Morgan Hoesterey and the nine Hawaiian open-ocean channels that they braved by SUP.

The third stop in South Africa’s Primi Naish National Race series was held November 21st. The day began with some daunting weather, but the 12 competitors who were up for the challenge set out on the 6 km course from Oceana PBC, along the rocky shore and around the point to Three Anchor Bay. Through choppy conditions, the paddlers fought hard to the finish, with Naish team rider Chris Bertish coming in 1st on his Naish Glide 14’0”. Awesome job, Chris!

It was a very wet and gloomy day in Surfer’s Paradise today.

The Gold Coast extends from the Queensland Capital of Brisbane down to the New South Wales Border. With excellent transport infrastructure, hotels and a lively, welcoming atmosphere the Gold Coast is the perfect location to host Australia’s first ever Kiteboarding PKRA World Tour Event.

It has been a spectacular event here in Noumea, New Caledonia. All riders were on top of their game and did not take one minute for granted out on the water.

It was yet another beautiful day here in kiteboarding paradise. The sun was out and the wind was howling yet again as the riders made their way to the beach this morning for the mandatory 8:30am skippers meeting.

Heaps of spectators made their way out to the beach today to enjoy the lovely Saturday afternoon weather and to catch a glimpse of all the kiteboarding action here in Noumea, New Caledonia. It has been a super successful competition thus far, you could not ask for better wind or weather conditions.

The weather conditions were pretty much the same as the past couple of days, the wind was raging at about 25-30 knots as riders prepared their smallest kites for the continuation of the freestyle single eliminations.

The wind was on in full force today in Pointe Magnin, Noumea. Riders pumped up their smallest kites, mostly 7m for the competition today.

The first Naish SUP Tour was a big success, with 150 participants and a total of 600 people who got on an SUP board for the first time.

Suzie Cooney has used SUP to empower and inspire so many women. She is an ambassador of SUP and her passion is infectious!

Lifeguards on Maui are some of the busiest people around — especially when the surf gets big. Alfredo Villas-Boas is one of those lifeguards, but at the end of September he used his time and energy to paddle the Xingu River in Brazil.

The SUP portion of this event — which happened November 6th & 7th — proved to be a big hit, with a great turnout of contestants.

The 9th annual Na Alaka’i O Ke Kai Regatta came to a close in Las Vegas

The 1st Hellenic Stand Up Paddle Surfing Challenge was held at the end of October in Athens (Loutsa), at the Club Aiolos, a well-known spot for windsurfers, kiters and stand-up paddlers.

It was a spectacular fourth day of competition here in Lake Nahuel Huapi. The men’s and women’s freestyle double eliminations got underway exactly on time at 11:00am this morning.

The wind began to howl in the early morning hours here in Bariloche, Argentina. During the skippers meeting at 10:00am, race director Erik Troostheide called the weather conditions unsafe and released all riders for the final day of competition.

With all the new options available in light wind boards, riders are pushing the envelope of what is considered rideable. The new LWR (Light Wind Relaunch) gives the rider complete confidence when going out in the lightest of wind.

It was just weeks ago that Kevin had ACL reconstruction, and everything went well. The surgery involved replacing his torn ACL and putting two screws in to keep the new ACL in place.

At the end of October, Scheveningen, The Netherlands, was the site of the Dutch Freestyle Championships of Kiteboarding.

Sam Light is currently on Maui shooting, doing testing with the Naish R&D team and getting ready for the upcoming Wind or No Wind Board Jam event, happening at the end of November.

Rick Jensen met with a TV crew for an interview that aired on German television. His goal was to promote the sport of kiteboarding. Rick is currently getting ready for the Hainan Surf Festival, coming up on Hainan Island in China. Results coming soon!

It was yet another spectacular day in Lake Nahuel Huapi for the Kitesurf World Cup Bariloche 2010. The wind was yet again in full force this morning at the mandatory skippers meeting.
